1st Makeup Review...Cream Blushers

Hey girls,
These are some of the cream/mousse blushers that i have:
Maybelline Dream Mousse in Soft Plum 04
Maybelline Dream Mousse Peach Satin
Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream Peony 3

Maybelline Dream Mousse:
You can't fond the Maybelline ones in stores anymore because it has been discontinued. I got mine from ebay for about RM10 a piece. So it was a good deal. I really like the texture of it, and it blends really well. And it stays well on oily skin too. Although Soft Plum has a some shimmer in it, it is not overpowering. Makes you look really fresh and glowing. I'd recommend the Soft Plum because it looks more natural and gives you that nice winter rosieness. The one in Peach Satin is a little bit orangey, looks good on people with light skin tone only. It does not show up well compared to Soft Plum, as you can see in the picture, i made quite a big scoop in it. And i think it will make darker skintones look really washed out.

Stila Convertible:
I have fair-medium skin, yellow undertones, very oily. This does not impress me as much as i hope it to be. It is really overpriced, definitely not recommended if you live in a hot humid weather. The lasting power is very poor (about 3 hrs), the color did not show on me, it is more suitable for people with fairer and normal-dry skin types. The good side is that it blends really well, and i prefer using a foundation brush and apply it in a dabbing motion instead of brushing it on cz the color will fade. The same goes when i tried using my fingers, most of the color got stuck on my fingers instead of my cheeks, and its really unhygienic for me to stick my finger in the product as well. Besides that, i find it really difficult to open the compact. Most of the time, i end up destroying my nails trying to open it.

UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, i decided that im not really liking this product, the colour did not sink into my skin well, giving me that lacquer look. However, the staying power was pretty good, stays on the whole day, and did not appear blotchy. But i did not like the lacquer effect, and the muddy colour.

I think Stila is only available at Stila counters, i think Kuching does not have one right now. Keep our fingers crossed that it will open up soon at The Spring or Parkson. The packaging is waaayyy cute. But waaayyy pricey. I think the blusher is about Rm70-80 a piece. Phew...it burnssssss

What i'd wear to.....

.....the set of Angelina Jolie's new movie, Changeling:

I think the movie is set up in the 1920's. So everything is really FLAPPER inspired

Unleashing the biker chick in me...all i need now is my own Awie. Hehehehe

Recommended Noise!

Hey guys,
Im currently in love with this band Kings of Leon. They're not exactly new but their current album Only By The Night blew my mind off. They're creative, they sounded good both on album and live, and most importantly.....their vocalist is sooo freakin' hot it burns...it burnsssss. I really love:

Revelry - great heartfelt vocals
Closer - love the guitar effect at the beginning
Sex on Fire - title says it all
Crawl - Audioslave/U2/Led Zeppelin-ish sounding stuff
Use Somebody - great anthem for huge concerts
Knocked Up - title says it all
Slow Night, Slow Long - good old rock and roll
Manhattan - have a nice jazzy feel to it

Some of the songs mention are probably from their previous albums. But they're definitely worth checking out.

Shout out!

Hey guys,
I'm giving a shout out to my one and only subscriber Peggy Amis. My blog is on the verge of being pathetic. No one reads it and no one cares (emo moment right now). Hehehehe. Nah...just kidding. I guess blogging is not followed as much as things like Facebook, Friendster, or Myspace. People get seriously bothered by too many words. Let us close a deal on this, subcribe to me, and each of you will get a piece of blue Smarties. It's better than nothing....

It's just too much

Hey guys,
While i was surfing my favourite website (Perez Hilton) for my daily does on CELEBUTARD meds, i stumble upon this : http://perezhilton.com/2008-11-14-separated-at-birth-174
I think it's way to much what that FAT Jay leno-ish shit face perez did. Common'....picking on kids?
He compares Adam Sandler's daughter to Amy Winehouse. That poor helpless girl. It was not her choice to parade herself infront of paparazzi's and all. And Perez with all his anti Prop 8 talk and supporting Causes for Children is so hypocritical of him. What a stupid shit face douche! But it won't stop me from visiting the site everyday without fail though. Hehehe

Exam Fever

Hey people,
I'll be sitting for my Economics paper at 9am later. And it's 6.50am right now. From all the time that i have on my hands to blog, i choose to do it 2 hours before a critical paper. I tend to have this sickness whereby i'll try to find anything else possible to avoid doing things that requires critical attention ie: MY FINALS! Do you guys have that annoying disease too? Call me lazy, but i work better under pressure. A few days ago i was suppose to sit for a paper at 8am, and all the while i thought it was at 2pm. Luckily some power within me (maybe my rock god), told me to wake up sooner than 10am...to my EXCITEMENT, my paper is at 8am, and i've just started hitting the books at 4am. I had a mere 4 hours to shove 4 months worth of information into my brain, and suprisingly and thankfully, i managed pretty well. After this i swear i am gonna party my ass out. Peace out people!
