MAC store

Hey guys,
I just came back from The Spring and to my surprise, there's a mini MAC store right in the middle of the mall. It's more like a booth. I didn't go in though. I bet it's pricier than the ones in KL...Nevertheless, I'm really happy to see MAC here in Kuching. I hope they bring Yves Rocher next. It's much more affordable than L'occitane.

Body Butters...Mmmmmm

Hey gals!
Just wanna show the body butter's that i have. These are from the Body Shop. My favorite scent is definitely Mango Butter, but it's kinda heavy because it is meant for very very dry skin. The one with the best texture is Avocado Butter. I'll do a review on each and everyone soon. Ciao!

MAC Fix+ review

An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up!
100 ml / 3.4 fl oz

I kinda find this product pointless. I only use it if i'm using my powder foundation to set it before i put on my cream blush. If im using liquid foundation or powder blush, i don't bother using this because it takes quite sometime to dry, and it kinda makes my skin oily and shiny. If you have dry skin and want that dewy look, i guess you can give this a try. It's basically just a spray to refresh your skin or set your makeup, nothing magical about it. The only thing i like about this product is the scent. It's really light and refreshing. I won't recommend it if you're on a tight budget. Try Evian or Avene sprays instead, it costs less.

1st Makeup Review...Cream Blushers

Hey girls,
These are some of the cream/mousse blushers that i have:
Maybelline Dream Mousse in Soft Plum 04
Maybelline Dream Mousse Peach Satin
Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream Peony 3

Maybelline Dream Mousse:
You can't fond the Maybelline ones in stores anymore because it has been discontinued. I got mine from ebay for about RM10 a piece. So it was a good deal. I really like the texture of it, and it blends really well. And it stays well on oily skin too. Although Soft Plum has a some shimmer in it, it is not overpowering. Makes you look really fresh and glowing. I'd recommend the Soft Plum because it looks more natural and gives you that nice winter rosieness. The one in Peach Satin is a little bit orangey, looks good on people with light skin tone only. It does not show up well compared to Soft Plum, as you can see in the picture, i made quite a big scoop in it. And i think it will make darker skintones look really washed out.

Stila Convertible:
I have fair-medium skin, yellow undertones, very oily. This does not impress me as much as i hope it to be. It is really overpriced, definitely not recommended if you live in a hot humid weather. The lasting power is very poor (about 3 hrs), the color did not show on me, it is more suitable for people with fairer and normal-dry skin types. The good side is that it blends really well, and i prefer using a foundation brush and apply it in a dabbing motion instead of brushing it on cz the color will fade. The same goes when i tried using my fingers, most of the color got stuck on my fingers instead of my cheeks, and its really unhygienic for me to stick my finger in the product as well. Besides that, i find it really difficult to open the compact. Most of the time, i end up destroying my nails trying to open it.

UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, i decided that im not really liking this product, the colour did not sink into my skin well, giving me that lacquer look. However, the staying power was pretty good, stays on the whole day, and did not appear blotchy. But i did not like the lacquer effect, and the muddy colour.

I think Stila is only available at Stila counters, i think Kuching does not have one right now. Keep our fingers crossed that it will open up soon at The Spring or Parkson. The packaging is waaayyy cute. But waaayyy pricey. I think the blusher is about Rm70-80 a piece. Phew...it burnssssss

What i'd wear to.....

I think the movie is set up in the 1920's. So everything is really FLAPPER inspired

Recommended Noise!

Hey guys,
Im currently in love with this band Kings of Leon. They're not exactly new but their current album Only By The Night blew my mind off. They're creative, they sounded good both on album and live, and most importantly.....their vocalist is sooo freakin' hot it burns...it burnsssss. I really love:

Revelry - great heartfelt vocals
Closer - love the guitar effect at the beginning
Sex on Fire - title says it all
Crawl - Audioslave/U2/Led Zeppelin-ish sounding stuff
Use Somebody - great anthem for huge concerts
Knocked Up - title says it all
Slow Night, Slow Long - good old rock and roll
Manhattan - have a nice jazzy feel to it

Some of the songs mention are probably from their previous albums. But they're definitely worth checking out.

Shout out!

Hey guys,
I'm giving a shout out to my one and only subscriber Peggy Amis. My blog is on the verge of being pathetic. No one reads it and no one cares (emo moment right now). Hehehehe. Nah...just kidding. I guess blogging is not followed as much as things like Facebook, Friendster, or Myspace. People get seriously bothered by too many words. Let us close a deal on this, subcribe to me, and each of you will get a piece of blue Smarties. It's better than nothing....

It's just too much

Hey guys,
While i was surfing my favourite website (Perez Hilton) for my daily does on CELEBUTARD meds, i stumble upon this : http://perezhilton.com/2008-11-14-separated-at-birth-174
I think it's way to much what that FAT Jay leno-ish shit face perez did. Common'....picking on kids?
He compares Adam Sandler's daughter to Amy Winehouse. That poor helpless girl. It was not her choice to parade herself infront of paparazzi's and all. And Perez with all his anti Prop 8 talk and supporting Causes for Children is so hypocritical of him. What a stupid shit face douche! But it won't stop me from visiting the site everyday without fail though. Hehehe

Exam Fever

Hey people,
I'll be sitting for my Economics paper at 9am later. And it's 6.50am right now. From all the time that i have on my hands to blog, i choose to do it 2 hours before a critical paper. I tend to have this sickness whereby i'll try to find anything else possible to avoid doing things that requires critical attention ie: MY FINALS! Do you guys have that annoying disease too? Call me lazy, but i work better under pressure. A few days ago i was suppose to sit for a paper at 8am, and all the while i thought it was at 2pm. Luckily some power within me (maybe my rock god), told me to wake up sooner than 10am...to my EXCITEMENT, my paper is at 8am, and i've just started hitting the books at 4am. I had a mere 4 hours to shove 4 months worth of information into my brain, and suprisingly and thankfully, i managed pretty well. After this i swear i am gonna party my ass out. Peace out people!

Shopping is war!

Hey guys,
I went out to do a little shopping today with my bestie. We split up and went on combat. Hehehehe. It's crazy how they shop here. You see these young teenage girls carrying tons of paper bags that i bet can rake up about 500 bucks at least. No joke. To see these girls going into Topshop, MAC, Miss Selfridge, Zara and say that it's "affordable" is ridiculous. FOS is AFFORDABLE, Jaya Jusco is AFFORDABLE, clothes at Tesco is affordable. And these girls who have not work a single sweat for these money they spent on a 200 ringgit piece of shitty t-shirt frm Zara and say it's affordable is mind boggling. Yes your mum and dad can afford it, but is this right way to teach your kids the value of hard work? I worry that my child will end up with a fat wallet full of maxed out credit cards in the future if this is the mindless feeding from the hands of ppl trying to sell crap that you dont need at the first place. Common...who needs 5 different 5 different shades of eyeliner from MAC when it's LE LE (saying limited edition is soooo passe), when it's all black. Ok, one has a little glitter in it, one is not exactly black, it's NEHRU (makes your eyes look more Diwali), one is meant to be applied inside your waterline. Your Waterline???? WTF?? You expect me to go blind or sumthing? Lining the inside of you lids? Ahhh....what we do just to impress people we hardly know, or might not even like, and im guilty as charged.

Let's see your gross threshold

Hey guys,
I went on youtube today and stumble on this vid of Joe Rogan reaction towards 2girls1cup vid - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhevNN1BDnQ. If you guys have no idea what the heck is 2girls1cup, try googling it and get back to me on my facebook. Before knowing what it actually was, i assumed it was 2 girls, makin out in a large cup. You know the ones they have in themeparks where desperate lovers go to secretly makeout. Yeah...those irritating and suprisingly nauseating cups. And Joe mention about the BME pain olympics. Apparently, 2girls1cup is alot more puke inducing compare to guys chopping their dicks and balls of. Darn it! I personally cannot IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE risk seeing a bowl of glistening Kolo Mee turning into a large gunk of lumpy milky puke. No matter how much my ex housemate try to convince me it's not as bad as it seems like, i couldn't even go near the pc. For gods sake! The girls laughing while gagging? How could you possibly have the stomach to laugh at those poor bitches. god knows how much their paid to do it. Or maybe they're just plain retarded. or maybe...jux maybe, shit is the new meth.

Loves it - Music

I'm always on the constant search for good music. And i'm the kind of person who obsesses over things, this week i'm indie, next week i'm googling motown, next week dangdut...it evolves over and over again. My criteria for good music are tunes that brings you into another world. I thank my good friend Maurice for introducing me to Damien Rice, that guy one sad sad soul (and i love it). He is someone i could listen to over and over again without wearing me out. The Blowers Daughter is sooo heart wrenchingly sad and depressing. He's like the mellow version of Meatloaf sans all the theatrics. He's melodies are really clean, and organic (waiseh). Be sure to check his album O. Others i'm mad about:
The Perishers - Midnight Skies, Sway, Best Friends

The Colors - Save Yourself
Burt Bacharach

The Kinks - Lola
Rachael Yamagata - The Reason Why, Elephants

All of them are really good but why add THE to your name. It sounds sooo over hyped and so unoriginal. Sheeshh...sweep it off guys. THE table, THE chair, THE bread, THE crazies, THE stupids. Super annoying, even a 2 year old can come up with a better name.

First!

Hey guys, this is my first time bloggiing. So here goes!
I do not have anything in mind yet on what i will write on. I'm guessing it will be mostly on makeup, music, movies, people, my latest haunts. Let me get my mind straight first before i add more stuff here. Cya!
